| · Green up day -
Every year on the first Saturday in May we have multiple clean up
opportunities at our parks; call ahead for details.
· Invasive plant removal - In July
and early August we will have many days for individuals or groups
to cut phragmites or pull purple loosestrife.
· Water quality testing - One or two
volunteers are needed to help with water quality testing at Colchester
Pond through the summer.
· Wildlife tracking - Volunteers are
needed to go through the Keeping Track© training program
and help to monitor wildlife in our area.
· Graduate or undergraduate projects
- Trained and motivated students are always needed to help us
inventory plant species, help with management plans, track park
usage, or many other projects that are necessary for managing
our parks.
· Ongoing maintenance - volunteers
are always needed to do trail work, building or carpentry projects,
boundary posting, and other general maintenance projects.
