Since 1992, the Colchester Pond Natural Area has been a part of the Winooski Valley Park District's park offerings. The area supports nearly 700 acres of wilderness for hikers, anglers, canoe/kayakers, birders, trackers, and other people pursuing quiet recreation. Grassy slopes near the pond make it an ideal spot for picnics or to spend a lazy afternoon. The Park District maintains a beautiful walking trail that goes entirely around the pond, and the pond's quiet waters are free from large and noisy watercraft.

For individuals with special needs, please call the Park District at 863-5744 for information regarding special accommodations.
