General Park Information
Our walks are excellent for all, but especially for parents with children. The trails are designed for year round use. Individual walks take about 20 minutes to an hour to complete.

What to Bring: Sturdy shoes or lightweight hiking boots are suggested. Mosquito repellant and sun screen are also recommended. You also may want to bring binoculars, nature books, a water bottle, and a picnic lunch.

Pesky Bugs & Plants: In late May and June, pack mosquito repellent. Make sure you can identify Poison Ivy.

Park Rules: Hikers, skiers, picnickers, boaters, anglers and naturalists are all welcome. The parks are open from dawn to dusk. Take only pictures, leave only footprints. Pets need to be on leashes at all times. No motor vehicles, camping, hunting, shooting, trapping, open fires or glass containers are allowed. Bicycles are only allowed at the Ethan Allen Homestead and Delta Park, and are limited to a designated bike path. Do not harm wildlife.
